Are you one of the over 400 manufacturers and associations holding Manufacturing Day events to showcase the appeal of modern manufacturing careers? This year, in-person and/or online or virtual events are taking place in nearly every state in the U.S. and in Puerto Rico.
Conceived in Illinois in 2011, the first MFG Day took place in the Midwest in 2012. Momentum quickly grew as manufacturers, schools, associations, and communities came together to open the door into a stronger manufacturing future in America.
Now, the day—and the entire month of October—focuses on showing students, parents, teachers, and community leaders what modern manufacturing looks like. Too many people have their image of manufacturing stuck in the 20th century!
Modern manufacturing generates about $6 trillion in revenue each year in the U.S. and that’s forecast to continue to grow through 2026!
Students participating in MFG Day learn that manufacturing companies provide opportunities for rewarding careers. According to NIST:
Here at StratMg, we believe in the power of manufacturing to make a difference in the lives of individuals, communities, and country. That’s why we focus on partnering with you for results!
So, once again, Happy Manufacturing Day to you. May you generate much success!
And, as always, we’re here if you want to talk about your manufacturing business.
